What Youll Do:
As our Communications Specialist youll play a key role in shaping how the City communicates. You will:
Manage and support city-wide communication initiatives including public safety and emergency messaging.
Oversee and update the Citys website social media channels newsletters and other outreach platforms.
Write and design engaging content such as press releases brochures ads and community magazine articles.
Serve as a liaison between departments residents City Council and news media.
Coordinate community outreach events and marketing campaigns.
Provide creative input on communication strategies and improvements.
What Were Looking For:
Bachelors degree in Communications or related field.
At least two (2) years of experience in communications preferably with a local government or public sector organization.
Strong writing editing and graphic design skills.
Knowledge of public relations marketing and community outreach principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency with digital tools social media management and website content systems.
