The contractor will be responsible for complying with the respective national requirements for working permits visas taxes social security etc. whilst working on site at NATO HQ Brussels Belgium.
No special status is either conferred or implied by the host organisation NATO HQ Brussels Belgium to the contractor whilst working on site.
The contractor will be responsible for complying with all the respective National Health COVID- 19 regulations in Belgium before taking up the position.
Profile Title: Officer Digital Transformation Coordination
Profile Description Summary: We are looking for a proactive team member to reinforce the Portfolio Officer for Digital Transformation within the Enterprise Portfolio Section of the NATO Office of the Chief Information Officer. They will monitor NATO Enterprise projects programmes and initiatives that contribute to the NATOs Digital Transformation Vision Strategic Outcomes and coordinate these activities with the NATO Enterprise stakeholders for alignment and coherency.
Division: NATO Office of the CIO (OCIO)
Mission: The NATO Chief Information Officer (CIO) function ensures Information and Communications Technology (ICT) coherence across NATO Enterprises 50 civil and military bodies serving over 25000 users. Empowered to realize the Allies vision for the NATO Enterprise the NATO CIO is accountable to the Secretary General and responsible for developing NATO Enterprise directives and advising on the acquisition and use of information technologies and services.
The mission of the OCIO is to bring coherence to the NATO Enterprise through a secure collaborative and integrated set of CIS capabilities and ICT services.
Current context: In the context of NATOs Digital Transformation the OCIO plays a critical role in aligning efforts to achieve NATOs Digital Transformation Strategic Outcomes across the NATO Enterprise. This includes significant collaboration with the NATO Enterprise stakeholders both military and civilian to monitor and report on the NATO Enterprise Digital Transformation Action Plan (NEDTAP) and its programmes projects and initiatives for coherency and strategic alignment. To achieve that OCIO together with the NATO Enterprise stakeholders is implementing Digital Transformation Portfolio management approach.
NATO POC for supervision and coordination purposes: Portfolio Officer for Digital Transformation
Objectives and scope of work: Officer Digital Transformation Coordination will support the OCIO Portfolio Manager for Digital Transformation by aligning and coordinating implementation of OCIO-driven initiatives contributing to the coherency of the NATO Enterprise Digital Transformation journey.
Duties and Role:
Deliverables: All documentation and activities linked to the scope of work and the domains of activities described above. Including but not limited to:
Location: The Service will be 100% (full time) at NATO Headquarters in Brussels
A limited amount of teleworking might be granted under special circumstances with the line manager permission.
Travel: Occasional travel might be required/expected in NATO Allies countries.
The amounts for travel and per-diem costs incurred by the Contractors personnel performing official missions to locations other than Brussels if the work at such location was authorised by NATO Service Manager and must be documented with the corresponding NATO Service Managers travel authorization and the travel tickets and receipts. Amounts will be reimbursed (outside of this contract) according to NATO Travel on Duty (TDY) cost limitation and standards.
