Job Description
Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer (several posts) in Genomics Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 532868) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role
- Operate sophisticated scientific instruments to support core service and research
- Liaise with users to coordinate service logistics
- Provide technical advice to users
- Evaluate and validate new technologies
Qualifications and Qualities
- Masters degree or above in Biomedical Sciences Biological Sciences Biochemistry Biotechnology or a related discipline
- At least 2 years relevant laboratory work experience
- Strong passion in science and technologies
- Advantage but not necessary: Working knowledge of existing technologies and laboratory accreditation experience and holder of Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) Part I/II license issued by HKMLT Board
- Self-motivated responsible conscientious meticulous and enjoy teamwork
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
- Competency in MS Office applications
- Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Technical Officer
