We currently have an opening for a Coordination Program Manager
The position is designated Statutory Exemptand is exemptfrom the State Human Resources Act
This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agencys remote work program but does require weekly onsite work
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Program Manager for Geographic Information Coordination. The position is responsible for the management of geographic information activities and administration of the coordination program under the direction of the State Geographic Information Officer (GIO).

About the Division
The Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (CGIA) is housed in the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) within the Department of Information Technology (DIT) and is the lead state government organization for geographic information systems (GIS). Its mission includes two key and complementary components: GIS professional services and statewide coordination. Professional services include GIS project management strategic planning application development database design database creation and maintenance and spatial analysis. Clients include state local and federal agencies. CGIA assists its clients in either bringing the technology into the organization or enhancing the existing use of GIS to meet a business need.
CGIA provides technical policy and administrative support to the GICC established in the General Statutes in 2001 (143B-1420 through 1422). The Council is responsible for advising the Governor General Assembly and the Office of State Budget and Management on steps necessary to efficiently develop and use GIS technology in the state. The Council represents a cross-section of stakeholders including all levels of government utilities economic development and the surveying/engineering community. The Council provides a forum for public and private sector interests to convene regularly and set a direction for North Carolina through preparation and implementation of standards policies and guidelines.

HYBRID/FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULES:
At NCDIT we are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and flexible work environment offering a hybrid remote work option for positions that are conducive to remote flexibility. If you do not currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned duty station new hires are granted up to 120 days from their start date to relocate.
