Ready to shape the future of Aucklands pavements
Were looking for a Technical Surfacing Specialist to lift the quality and performance of asphalt across Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. Were after someone who lives and breathes pavements understands both design and delivery and enjoys working shoulder-to-shoulder with crews.
Mō te tūranga About the role
Driving quality improvements in asphalt production and paving across the Auckland region
Providing technical surfacing support mix design material selection paving methodology QA/QC and troubleshooting on live jobs
Monitoring site works to make sure they meet NZTA local authority and project specs and fixing issues before they become problems
Upskilling supervisors engineers and crews in best-practice surfacing and what good looks like on the ground
Contributing to our Asphalt Improvement Project championing new tech better methods and consistent standards

Background in pavement/asphalt design and site monitoring ideally with NZTA procedures and experience delivering designs for NZTA councils and private clients
Experience working closely with (or running) asphalt plants surfacing crews or asphalt departments
Strong understanding of surfacing materials QA/QC systems and performance monitoring
Someone who puts safety first communicates well with both crews and clients and enjoys solving tricky surfacing problems out on site
