MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
1.
Oversees and directs the manufacturing activities of product line(s) ensuring that manufacturing capacity is available to meet forecast demand and strategic plans and that production plans and schedules are met. Develops implements trains and monitors effectiveness of manufacturing systems and procedures to ensure compliance to good manufacturing process and all other applicable
agency regulations.

Oversees and directs the production line to solve technical problems and ensure that the product assembly and testing processes comply with corresponding quality specifications.

Works with Supply Chain management to develop effective production planning and inventory systems; ensures accurate tracking and accounting of materials and work in process. Also works with Business Excellence and Engineering functions to develop effective manufacturing processes capable of meeting quality cost and supply chain objectives.

Develop the plant strategic capital and operating plans including setting annual budgets and controlling costs to achieve standard cost capital and inventory targets. Ensures the effective introduction of new products and technology transfers and works cross-functionally with Marketing Research and Development Supply Chain Quality Clinical Regulatory and other departments as needed.

Hires and retains a highly qualified staff. Develops a robust pipeline of talent and responsible for building an organization and inspiring people to achieve and exceed divisional objectives for customer satisfaction and profitability.

Ensures workplace safety and care for the environment through active support of Abbotts Environmental Health and Safety program and key initiatives.
7.
Accountable for ensuring overall compliance to corporate and divisional policy and the Quality System regulations. Establishes and builds relationships with key regulatory agencies.
Experience/Background
1. Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
2. 15 15 years experience preferably in medical device and in Vitro Diagnostics
3. /Fluent in English
4. Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet word processing database
