Job Overview

Were looking for a dedicated AMS Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Beijing. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to world-class laboratory asset management and lab relocation projects by applying your proven project management skills. Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring flawless execution and ultimate happiness for our customers!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • This involves managing project scope schedule cost and ensuring ultimate customer happiness.
  • Pre-sales and Solution Support: Explore and understand the requirements of laboratory customers effectively transferring this knowledge to the solution phase. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and implement competitive strategies to improve project competitiveness.
  • Lead communication among sales engineering and other teams to address customer concerns.
  • Proactively monitor project implementation financial indicators and supplier performance. Improve project margins through effective cost control and process optimization making timely corrective actions to ensure customer happiness and financial goals.
  • Process & Digital Management: Improve the digitalization of project management using modern tools for tracking reporting and data analysis.
  • Knowledge Management and Collection: Contribute to the teams continuous improvement by summarizing project lessons learned and adhering to the companys knowledge management system.
  • Alignment: Ensure all activities align with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; Master of Management (Business/Engineering/Project) preferred.
  • At least 8 years of laboratory-related working experience; laboratory management and bidding experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge and experience with analytical instruments and services.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills with a complete approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work under great pressure in a fast-paced competitive environment. Must be a great teammate.
  • Willing to travel 30%-50%.
  • Advanced PC skills especially in Word Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI is preferred.
