The Compensation Analyst at Princess Cruises supports the administration and maintenance of fleet compensation programs ensuring consistency equity and compliance across shipboard operations. This role is responsible for managing wage scales and pay systems responding to compensation-related inquiries from Team Members and collaborating with the Senior Compensation Analyst to validate data and conduct audits that ensure timely and accurate pay in accordance with company policies. Additionally the Compensation Analyst performs data and cost analyses to support employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements contributing to fair and competitive compensation practices across the organization.

Responsibilities
Carries out analytical assignments involving the analysis and administration of shipboard compensation programs while understanding the employees contract details.
Analyzes employee salaries and make recommendations to the Talent Acquisition or Operations team regarding new hire rates and promotional increases based on internal equity market pay collective bargaining agreements and internal policies with an understanding of the compensation structure and policy for one or multiple cruise lines.
Serves as a primary point of contact for compensation-related inquiries received through the teams public email inbox addressing matters related to pay job titles contracts and other compensation issues.
Collaborates with HR partners as needed to ensure accurate and equitable compensation practices.
Escalates complex or sensitive cases to the Senior Compensation Analyst or Compensation Manager for further resolution.
Analyzes and classifies new job roles for the organization ensuring compliance with internal policy and collective bargaining agreements.
Research policy or collective bargaining agreement provisions with various stakeholders when conflicts arise regarding interpretation and coordinates resolution with the compensation consultant or Manager.
Extracts and analyzes compensation-related data from payroll and HRIS systems to support internal stakeholders with clear actionable insights.
Translates complex data into meaningful analysis to help team members understand their compensation structure and ensure alignment with organizational policies and practices.
Contributes towards effective documentation of employee pay title and related attributes by auditing and reviewing data and initiating updates to internal systems with the compensation consultant.
Supports annual compensation projects such as salary survey submission merit process collective bargaining agreement updates and monthly incentive payouts.
Requirements
Associates degree required Bachelors degree preferred in Finance Accounting or Payroll
Compensation knowledge including state and federal wage and hour laws
Advanced Excel skills are required (i.e. V-lookup pivot tables and advanced Excel formulas)
Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word PowerPoint) and relational databases
Details-driven with analytical and data research skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
2 years experience in an analytical position (i.e. compensation professional financial analyst etc.)
Experience in the hospitality or cruise industry is a plus
Experience conducting salary analyses and explaining results to employees and management
Experience in a multi-cultural unionized environment
This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Companys schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday Thursday)
