Vice President Operations

Compensation DOE: Up to $235K
The Vice President of Operations is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing across a multi-plant operation. Reporting to the President & General Manager this executive will drive both strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize production using lean manufacturing principles and a continuous improvement mindset. This role collaborates cross-functionally to align operations with the companys product roadmap and business goals while building and developing a high-performance manufacturing team.
Vice President Operations Key Responsibilities:
Champion a safety-first culture by working closely with Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) personnel to implement and reinforce comprehensive safety programs and policies.
Achieve and exceed operational goals in key performance areas including cost inventory management on-time delivery quality and workplace safety.
Oversee all manufacturing operations ensuring efficient cost-effective production of high-quality products within budget and schedule constraints.
Provide leadership to the Logistics and Maintenance departments including preventive maintenance scheduling and facility integrity.
Ensure that products consistently meet or exceed quality standards and customer delivery requirements.
Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency scalability and performance.
Build and develop a strong operations team through coaching mentorship performance management and professional development.
Establish and communicate clear goals for the operations team; hold team members accountable for results and foster a culture of accountability and empowerment.
Oversee production control process development quality systems and shipping/receiving operations.
Develop and manage operational budgets with an emphasis on controlling product costs and improving margins.
Implement and maintain a robust product costing system to support accurate financial planning and decision-making.
Build a deep understanding of the business customer needs profit drivers and external market conditions to inform operational strategy.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all manufacturing operations; identify improvement opportunities and drive cross-functional initiatives to achieve results.
Vice President Operations Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or operations with a strong track record of success in complex multi-product environments.
Hands-on experience in production environments with significant product variability and complexity.
Proficient in materials management including demand planning purchasing and contract negotiation for high-value procurement agreements.
Strong leadership influence and negotiation skills across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated success in building and leading OSHA-compliant safety and health programs.
