JOB DESCRIPTION: The Natural Resources Service Center has a professional level Human Resources position available! We are seeking a very detail-oriented candidate who enjoys working in a positive team-based environment. The ideal candidate would possess exceptional customer service skills work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability and desire to multi-task prioritize workloads and be the go-to person for all things Workers Comp and Family Medical Leave. This position interacts with all our natural resource agencies which include the Dept of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Dept of Environmental Protection Dept of Marine Resources and Dept of Agriculture Conservation and Forestry. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for those interested in working with a diverse group of employees from our agencies.
Some duties you are expected to perform include but are not limited to:
The ability to work with a diverse group of individuals (who work a field-based non-traditional workweek) as well as being able to prioritize work effectively utilize sound communication skills and work within a team are essential to the position to ensure effective and efficient delivery of HR services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A combination of directly related education and/or experience demonstrating knowledge of and/or technical human resources work. Preferred skills include: Knowledge and experience with Workers Compensation Family Medical Leave and organizational design; knowledge and understanding of human resources rules laws and policies bargaining contracts and experience with human resource systems.
Preference will be given to those applicants who are well spoken well written and have the innate desire to better themselves their team and help all of our departments in the human resources processing of recruitment and other HR functions.
