Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale Arizona. As a QA Specialist you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our EHR software products. You will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies developing automated and manual test scripts and continuously improving our QA processes. Your work will help us deliver high-quality software to our clients enhancing user satisfaction and contributing to our companys success. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive (end to end) test plans and strategies to ensure software quality.
-Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements use cases and understand success criteria.
Define testing methodologies that align with the companys SDLC and objectives.
Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications.
Design write and execute comprehensive test plans test cases and test scripts.
Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by partnering with business stakeholders to validate functionality in various environments.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
Identify document and track software defects using defect management tools.
Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of QA activities.
Define and maintain a QA knowledge base documenting testing processes (including how to create test data) standards and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
Provide regular reports on software quality and testing progress to executives.
Recommend and implement best practices for quality assurance processes.
Perform root cause analysis on defects and collaborate with developers to ensure they are effectively addressed reducing recurrence in future releases.
Contribute to product roadmap discussions by providing insights on quality-related risks and technical debt considerations.
Stay current with industry standards and integrate new testing tools and techniques.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in manual testing and experience developing automated test scripts.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA TestRail or equivalent).
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify and document software defects effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
Knowledge of agile methodologies is preferred.
Experience with performance and load testing is a plus.
Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB CSTE) is an advantage.
