Job Summary:
The Service Advisor at Seidel Hyundai is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operations of the dealerships service department. This role will involve working closely with customers technicians and other team members to coordinate and facilitate vehicle maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of the auto industry.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary plus commission structure. Employee benefits package includes health insurance retirement plans paid time off and employee discounts on vehicle purchases and services.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Listen to customers concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Provide recommendations and estimates for necessary repairs and/or maintenance
- Explain repairs and services to customers and address any questions or concerns
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services
- Monitor and manage work flow in the service department
- Communicate with customers throughout the repair process and provide updates on any delays or changes
- Up-sell additional services and products to customers
- Maintain knowledge of all vehicle makes and models as well as current industry trends and technology
- Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure all service records and documents are accurate and up-to-date in dealership systems
- Adhere to all safety and compliance standards set by the dealership and manufacturer
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous sales experience preferably in the auto industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
