Position: Physical Education Teacher
Start date: January 2026
Employment Status: Part-Time (18hpw) contract
Salary: $86600 - $126795 (pending experience)

What we are looking for:
Applications are invited for the position of Physical Education Teacher to join the staff of St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School Mackay.This is a part-time contract position for 18hpw to commence from 20 January 2026 until 18 January 2027.
Applications are welcome from anyone who would support the schools ethos and possess the followingare encouraged to apply:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
- Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
- Appropriate qualities knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton

Opened in 1935 by the Sisters of Mercy the student population has grown from 23 to 570 as a 3 stream co-educational facility. Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
