Are you ready to take the next step on the career ladder We are looking for a part-time Infection Control Nurse to join our team. This person will focus on infection prevention 3 days per week with the opportunity for Full-time by working 1-2 days on the floor.

• 3 days per week Infection Prevention
• 1-2 days per week Floor Nurse if full time status is desired
• Flexible scheduling
• Rotating every 4th week on-call
• Will assist with Infection Prevention certification if needed

As the facility Infection Control and Floor Nurse you will:

• collaborate with appropriate staff to ensure tracking of infection control screening and employee illness and ensure compliance with return-to-work policies and procedures
• perform surveillance of facility infectious disease and antibiotic use
• conduct annual TB risk assessments and N95 fit testing for staff members
• collaborate with Director of Nursing to ensure current infection prevention and control standards are in compliance for both residents and employees
• manage residents on precautions and ensure they have interventions in place pertinent to their infectious process
• manage outbreaks in the facility lead outbreak meetings and set parameters appropriate to control outbreaks in the facility

Required Qualifications:

• current licensure in the state of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse
• degree from an accredited school of nursing
• effective problem solving and communication skills and a passion to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• strong organization skills
• CDC Infection Prevention online course (will be provided if not already certified)
