Job Description
Overview
To Participate in the Testing and Quality Assurance of software implementations for new and existing projects. To Join a Test Team responsible for delivering testing across multiple systems and business processes. Core responsibilities comprise: -
Test Analysis
- Participating in Analysis of RequirementsDesign documentation
- Creating Test ScenariosCases from RequirementsDesign documentation
- Working with Delivery teams to understand the steps required for Test Execution
Test Execution
- Smoke Testing of Test Environments in readiness for Test Execution
- Executing Test ScenariosCases as per the agreed Test Plan
- Raising of IssuesQueries in the Defect Management Tool
- Participation in Defect Triage
- Re-testing of Defects
Client Support
- Ensuring Client Test Environments are available
- Supporting the resolution of Client QueriesIssues
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and enthusiastic to learn new methodologies and systems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative approach
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- General experience in the financial sector preferably Life and Pensions industry
- Previous ExperienceParticipation in a Testing Phase of a Project
Desirable Skills
- Experience with MS Excel including with Excel formulae
- Experience with Databases and SQL
- Experience with API Testing Frameworks
- Experience with Environment Support
