Position Description:
Are you passionate about IT infrastructure and eager to grow your career in system administration Were looking for a Junior System Administrator with strong German and English skills to join our dynamic team supporting hybrid server environments.
In this role youll be responsible for maintaining the stability security and performance of our systems. Youll work closely with senior engineers and support teams to manage incidents perform root cause analysis and implement optimization measures. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies in a collaborative and international environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Carrying out incident and problem management as well as sustainable service stability for the responsible systems.
Carrying out the associated root cause analyses.
Identification and implementation of optimisation measures to continuously improve the operating environment.
Proactive monitoring of infrastructure components in the server environment (with SCOM).
Conception of new highly available server environments and their documentation.
Conceptualisation commissioning and independent administration of various levels of Active Directory domains as well as hardening of environments according to Microsoft best practices (e.g. ESAE).
Administration of single and multi-level public key infrastructures and introduction of new security measures (port security e-mail encryption etc.).
Implementation and operation of hybrid solutions using Microsoft AD Federation Service and Azure AD Connect (for cloud-based applications Office365 Azure AD etc.).
Planning and implementation of regular patch rollouts.
Maintenance of operational documentation for the systems/domains supported.
Knowledge transfer to upstream support levels (e.g. 1st and 2nd level) as well as creation of work instructions and knowledge database entries.
Support of the responsible systems.
Supporting colleagues with problems and questions relating to the IT infrastructure used.
Customer support including analysing and solving problems.
Definition of loadbalancer Profiles for virtual Services.
Releases and refresh hard- and software.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience with the following systems & tools:
Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)/Intune/APT (Linux)
PatchMyPC (PmP) for patching 3rd party products
Public key infrastructure (PKI)- Windows System basiert
Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME)
Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM)
SCCM
Greenbone (vulnerability management) Nutzung/Operations
Operating Systems: Windows Linux Debian
Failover Cluster with HyperV
DNS/DHCP AD integrated
AD PKI
Entra Connect/ADFS
Kerberos
Cipher Management/TLS/SSL
