Job Description
Insulated Panel Installers needed now!
We are looking for reliable on time everyday and experienced Cool Store Panel Installers.
You will be required to work in the following areas Auckland Northland Waikato Bay of Plenty Gisborne Hawkes Bay Manawatu Taranaki and Wellington.
Shifts are10.5 days on and 3.5 days off.
You will be expected to travel to different sites across the North Island often returning to the same site and location in multiple roster cycles. Costs associated with the travel and accommodation will be met by the business.
Tasks:
Installing insulated panel.
Cutting and installing aluminium angles and flashings to insulated panel.
Installing insulated panel fixings.
Bolting off bracketing or fixing insulated panels to structure.
Installing insulated doors windows sliding doors and plastic refrigerated curtains.
Sealing and cleaning insulated panels.
Spraying sealants to insulated panels.
Installing underfloor insulation to freezers (vapour barriers and insulated panel).
Installing heated traces to freezer floors doors and penetrations.
Cutting and forming coloursteel flashings.
Cutting and forming penetrations in insulated panels
Use of drop saws to prepare aluminium flashings.
Riveting and fixing flashings to panel and panels to structures.
Drilling and bolting aluminium to concrete.
Working at height or harnessed in full fall restraint at height.
Using EWPs (Scissor lifts and knuckle booms).
General site cleaning.
Sweeping and disposing of site rubbish.
Skill Sets:
The ability to use multiple hand tools skillfully.
Ability to read plans a plus.
Be able to measure accurately.
Be able to work in a team environment or individually.
Be able to take lawful instruction from a site foreman or a member of the management team.
Understand the necessity to complete tasks to the highest standards.
Be competent in the ability to be able to place insulated panel manually with the use of a
crane or any manner/methodology that is stipulated in the company task analysis.
Ability to ask for help or assistance if the task is not understood.
Qualifications:
Full Class 1 NZ Drivers License.
Knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration is preferred.
Experience with insulated panel installations is preferred.
Industrial construction experience necessary.
Pride in work and attention to detail.
Be physically fit.
Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
Willing and able to travel. Projects are located across the NZ and travel is required. Typical schedule is 10.5 days on 3.5 days off. Onsite work is Monday through to the following.
Thursday between 12pm and 2pm dependent on travel schedules. Travel/flight times to the worksite take place Sunday afternoons/evenings to arrive in the supplied accommodation for work commencing 7:00am Monday morning.
A guarantee of 30 hours per week
Hourly rate $29.66 minimum
A minimum of 2 years experience is required in a similar role.
