You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailApplications are invited for appointment as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 532667) to commence on December 1 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should hold a masters degree in Counselling Psychology Social Work or a related field; and possess at least two years of in-service practice experience as a registered counsellor social worker or equivalent. Experience in teaching training or education is an advantage. Interest and knowledge in psychotherapy research and community psychology research are additional assets. The appointee is expected to demonstrate independent flexible and innovative working styles along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The appointee will be responsible for teaching capstone project supervision and curriculum development including fostering experiential learning opportunities and promoting compassionate pedagogy throughout the BSocSc(Counselling) curriculum as well as networking with agencies to facilitate capstone/internship placements and career development opportunities.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totaling up to 10% of basic salary as well as annual leave and medical benefits.
