Electrical Tester/Multitrade

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of an Electrical Tester/Multitrade on a 2.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 22.32 - 29.61 per hour

Summary:

The London Borough of Islington is seeking a skilled Electrical Tester/Multitrade Operative to carry out high-quality electrical testing installation repairs and maintenance across Islingtons housing stock and associated properties. The role will also involve undertaking multitrade tasks to support responsive repairs planned maintenance voids and capital works. Working both independently and as part of a team you will ensure residents receive a safe reliable and customer-focused service in line with council standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical testing fault finding repairs and installation works in domestic and communal properties.
• Complete periodic inspection reports electrical installation condition reports (EICRs) and associated certification.
• Undertake multitrade duties (e.g. basic carpentry plastering or plumbing) where required to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Respond to urgent emergency and routine repairs ensuring all appointments and deadlines are met.
• Accurately record works undertaken and materials used using handheld devices (PDA or equivalent).

Qualifications:

• Recognised C&G Apprentice trained Electrician with Level 2 Electrical
  Installation Part 1and Level 3 Electrical Installation Part 2 Level 3 Electrotechnical Servicing Electrical installation. You must also be willing to complete our Multi-skilled training program if employed.

• Experience of delivering high quality electrical works in domestic properties using a range of portable power tools and equipment.

• Clean UK driving licence.
