Who are we looking for
We are looking for a flexible and motivated QA Engineer based in Madrid ( or willing to relocate) who is eager to learn adapt and work with modern testing tools and practices. You are a good fit if you consider yourself a passionate techie who is willing to take responsibility share expertise and continuously improve. The scope of this role is part of a strategic project with one of our banking clients where we are transitioning from their internal setup to a near-shore engagement with Netcentric as the sole provider.
You will perform iteration testing (Component System Integration Smoke Regression) ensure accessibility compliance and introduce/maintain automation for core functionality. Working closely with developers BAs and PMs youll drive high-quality releases and contribute to continuous QA improvements. The tool stack includes Wave (accessibility) Applitools (UI) Selenium (automation) and JavaScript frameworks like
Madrid based hybrid contract with 3 days in the office.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Good knowledge of Java OOP
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver (and other similar tools)
- Knowledge of JavaScript-based frameworks such as / Playwright
- Knowledge of design patterns and clean code best practices
- Knowledge of visual testing and UI testing tools (Applitools)
- Good understanding of how automation fits in the SDLC
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven Gradle or similar)
- Knowledge of Git and version control best practices
- Understanding of web technologies and application testing methodologies
- 4 years of experience with various testing methodologies (functional system integration regression)
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working with Jira or other task/bug management tools
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset
- Enthusiasm empathy and being a true team player
- Eligibility to work within the EU and/or Switzerland
- Open-minded feedback-oriented and continuously striving for improvement
