Job Description

OVERVIEW

To help accelerate the alternative fuel transition the Center is involved in several projects across the globe supporting the implementation of green corridors. Green corridors are shipping routes on which there are commercially operating ships using exclusively alternative practice a green corridor may be implemented in phases where the use of alternative fuels evolves gradually and design is made scalable to ensure flexibility and the realization of the green corridor. The Center has developed methodologies for both pre-feasibility and feasibility studies of green corridors which all projects are following.

We are looking for 2 experienced project managers to take on responsibility for one or more green corridor projects.The preferred start date is August - September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The preferred candidates will be allocated at a minimum of 80% full time equivalent to the Center for at least 12 months. They are expected to take residence in Copenhagen and work from the Center during the assignment.

You will join the Energy and Fuels Impact Hub.The Energy & Fuels Impact Hub advances the maritime decarbonization by providing the knowledge tools and partnerships needed to scale sustainable fuels and their supporting infrastructure.As athought leader we develop visions frameworks and pathways for the adoption of sustainable energy and fuels. We focus on practical solutions for production transport adoption and supporting onshore infrastructure.As acollaborator we mobilize stakeholders across the entire fuel value chain to build partnerships that accelerate the development of new energy and fuel ecosystems. We bring together fuel producers port authorities and vessel operators to co-develop the pilots and infrastructure needed for the transition. Asaninfluencer we guide decision-makers to create the policies and financial frameworks needed for scalable alternative fuel adoption.

In your day-to-day role you will be fully dedicated to projects within the green corridors program and will therefore also have a network of green corridor project managers working on projects similar to you fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing within that program.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All project management activities from scoping to handover including planning and reporting structure for tracking and following the project.
  • Work with green corridor consortium members to assess technical and regulatory feasibility for the projects.
  • Drive data collection for modelling of incremental cost of alternative fuels.
  • Carry out all projects according to the Center developed methodology for green corridors.
  • Proactively seek and implement learnings from other green corridor projects.
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations and workshops.
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE
  • Keep momentum in projects and maintain progress towards realisation of the corridor.
  • Teach and manage consortium through green corridor methodology.
  • Able to maintain an overview of the bigger picture and the wider context for the project.
CONTENT KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES NEEDED
  • Solid project management skills with excellent networking and stakeholder engagement competencies
  • Understanding of the maritime fuel value chain is an advantage.
  • Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. science engineering or economics).
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5-10 years working experience and minimum 3 years project management experience.
  • Proven track record in project management with focus on delivery.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in business development activities related to renewable energy and connected infrastructure (electricity conversion hydrogen storage investment)
  • Solid project management skills with excellent networking and stakeholder engagement competencie
  • Understanding of the maritime fuel value chain is an advantage
  • Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. science engineering or economics)
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
