Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products before release. The Software Tester will be responsible for executing manual and automated tests identifying bugs and collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve issues. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities

Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.

Develop document and execute manual test cases for functional regression integration and system testing.

Design build and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.

Identify document and track software defects using bug-tracking systems (e.g. Jira Bugzilla Azure DevOps).

Collaborate with developers product managers and QA engineers to validate and resolve issues.

Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure software meets business and technical requirements.

Conduct compatibility testing across browsers devices and operating systems.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies providing input on test planning and estimation.

Ensure adherence to QA processes methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or related field.

1 - 3 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation).

Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).

Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail Zephyr HP ALM etc.).

Understanding of defect life cycle and bug reporting standards.

Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium Cypress Playwright etc.).

Exposure to API testing tools (Postman RestAssured SoapUI).

Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter LoadRunner).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git Jenkins).
-
ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
