Responsible for global tax-related compliance and planning activities of the
company including but not limited to all local and national taxes as well as
transfer pricing of various countries that may be assigned:


Compliance

  • Ensure accurate timely and complete preparation filing and payments of all tax obligations of the company in the assigned jurisdictions including but not limited to direct taxes indirect taxes transfer pricing etc.
  • Support continuous improvement process to achieve productivity and efficiency in the tax compliance processes of the company.
  • Participate in a broad range of complex and challenging US and global team work (mainly LATAM) requiring significant analysis assessment and quantification.
  • Represents assists and defends the company in all matters related to tax such as but not limited to tax registrations application for rulings tax investigations and tax audits.
  • Accurately analyse information; prepare practical and effective approaches to the companys tax situations to arrive at appropriate conclusions.
  • Assist efforts in the review of quarterly interim and year-end income tax provisions and annual disclosures for the Group (prepared by global outsourcer). Coordinate with external service providers and financial statement auditors as required. Managing deliver of compliance for assigned countries.
  • Assist with the delivery of the Master / Local transfer pricing documentation and Country By Country Reporting all prepared by global outsourcer.
  • Assist the tax manager in all other regulatory-related compliance matters affecting tax compliance.
  • Work and liaise with various global tax consultants in their provision of tax services to the company.
  • Other global tax compliance matters that may be assigned.

Planning and Strategy

  • Work with international tax manager in various tax-related planning activities to identify and mitigate tax risks and exposures and to maximize government provided tax incentives.
  • Assist in the research and in providing compliance-related advisory to the management.
  • Provide meaningful tax analytics that will help drive management decisions with consideration for tax rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of complex tax concepts; and discuss moderately complex tax issues with management and the team;
  • Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to the company.

Ad Hoc/Project Management

  • Project management or project partnership with other finance team IT HR and other functions in order to support department-wide or company-wide initiatives especially those related to or impacting tax.
  • Support other Finance Team in other areas of Finance affecting tax.
  • Other ad hoc assignments and projects.

Qualifications

  • Overall working experience of at least 1 to 3 years with specific experience in the following areas in combination:
  • Global Taxation preferably with Mexico and/or Colombia taxation experience
  • Other countries tax experience will be an advantage.
  • Business Finance.
  • Finance & Accounting.
  • Project management and/or process improvement.
  • Has good planning and organizational skills attentive to details assertive and project management skill.
  • Basic knowledge in Oracle SAP or other major ERP is preferred but not required.
  • Willing to travel to different government agencies when needed.

The Tax Analyst is responsible for driving the companys finance compliance initiative in accordance with government and regulatory laws rules and regulations implemented by various government agencies such as but not limited to tax transfer pricing PEZA compliance local government units etc. You will support the finance compliance teams overall planning initiatives.

Compliance

  • Ensure accurate timely and complete preparation filing and payments of all tax peza and other finance regulatory obligations of the company including but not limited to direct taxes indirect taxes transfer pricing ezmpr PEZA farm-in farm-out local business and state taxes etc.

  • Ensure that all assigned government registration activities related to finance including all related permits and certifications related to the companys finance are secured on a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assist the Assistant Finance Compliance Manager/Team Leader for all tax and other finance-regulatory compliance matters assigned to the team including any internal finance compliance process improvements.

  • Participate and support all company or department-related programs and activities.

  • Support process improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency in the finance compliance processes of the company.

  • Work with legal facilities operations human resources corporate and other departments in order to ensure that all tactical directions and decisions of management are implemented with consideration to tax and other government rules and regulations managed by the team.

  • Help implement finance policies affecting tax peza and other government compliance.

  • Represents and defends the company in all matters related to government audits and investigations affecting the companys finance compliance.

  • Other compliance activities that may be assigned in support of other finance and company initiatives.

Planning and Strategy

  • Support all finance compliance and planning-related activities to identify and mitigate compliance risk reduce company exposure and maximize government-provided incentives.

  • Implement the tactical direction established by the compliance management team in providing compliance-related advisory to the management.

  • Serves as one of the resource persons and advisor to the management in all tax PEZA and finance compliance-related matters.

  • Represents the company in all dealings with governments related to tax and PEZA planning such as applying for tax rulings and tax registrations securing tax incentives and other matters.

  • Train other finance compliance specialists and other departments to ensure increased awareness of the different compliance rules and regulations.


Ad Hoc

  • Project management or project partnership with other finance teams IT HR and other functions in order to support department-wide or company-wide initiatives.

  • Support other Finance Team in other areas of Finance affecting tax

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting or Finance

  • With at least 3 years of relevant work experience in tax PEZA/BIR and government compliance BOI/SEC/BOC requirements

  • Proficiency in accounting standards and rules

  • Has good planning and organizational skills attentive to details assertive and project management skills

  • Basic knowledge in Oracle SAP or other major ERP is preferred but not required

  • Willing to travel to different government agencies when needed
