The Opportunity:
The Staff Accountant is an integral member of the Global Accounting team. This position reports to the Senior Accountant and works closely with domestic and international accounting personnel. The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge be detail oriented and have a strong desire to grow within the firm. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to manage time well and to achieve deadlines; possess methodical follow-through skills; and have an enthusiastic can-do attitude toward all assignments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and/or review journal entries account reconciliations and supporting analysis as part of the month-end close process.
- Preparation and maintenance of financial schedules including but not limited to: fixed assets accrued expenses prepaid expenses deferred rent and lease amortizations.
- Participate in the Companys monthly and yearly closing; support financial audits/reviews
- Maintain the Equipment Leasing program; manage compliance with contracts and oversee lease payables
- Maintain business license registration and renewal process in conjunction with third party vendor(s).
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analyses
- Preparation of financial data for indirect tax planning regulatory reporting and compliance filings
- Process regulatory filings in a timely manner
- Assist with investigation and resolution of state & local department indirect tax notices
- Work closely with clients vendors and project managers to obtain information regarding potential deductions educational grants or allowances
- Participate in projects to support firm-wide initiatives process improvement and process changes

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Finance Business Administration or other related fields
- Professional services environment preferred (Architectural Engineering or Construction)
- Fluent in English verbal and written is required; additional languages are a bonus!
- Strong problem solving analytical and exceptional communication skills
- Understanding of GAAP is required
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information
- Possess and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity
- Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with all Company policies current FASB guidance and US and International laws
