About the Role
The DSP Engineer will be responsible for developing guitar effect algorithm working closely with cross function teams to ensure timely delivery of Harman products.
What You Will Do
- Develop guitar effects
- Port and implement Sound/Voice algorithms into target DSP chipset with limited MIPS/Memory
- Take ownership of legacy sound algorithms and DSP platforms used in current products to provide necessary updates and ensure continued success
- Keep track of the latest sound technological innovations and developments and work closely with sound algorithm partner
- Architect algorithms to various DSP platforms and oversee product integration working with global engineering teams
- Evaluate MIPS/Memory/Audio HW requirements for specific product
- Work with acoustic team to design new sound algorithms
- Regularly documenting findings recommendations algorithms software
What You Need to Be Successful
- Masters degree in digital Signal Processing Math Acoustics or another related major
- Proficient in C/Assembly or C languages and Matlab
- Experience developing sound algorithms and proven record
- Experience on microphone signal processing (AEC NR Beamforming etc) and music post-processing (EQ Limiter Virtual Surround/Spatial Sound etc) is preferred
- Experience of implementing audio algorithms into a fixed-point DSP
- Experience on HIFI/CEVA/ADI or TI DSP etc and MIPS optimization on DSP
- Knowledge about interface I2S/TDM/SPDIF/SPI/I2C/UART etc
- Fluent Spoken English Professional read and written English skill
- Good guitar player
