Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced iSOC Trainer to lead the design delivery and evaluation of training programs for iSOC this role you will equip coordinators with the skills knowledge and tools they need to excel in their positions maintain high performance and meet operational goals. Your expertise will play a key role in ensuring consistent service quality and supporting the success of the iSOC team.

Responsibilities

Training Program Development

  • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula for iSOC Coordinators at Levels 1 2 and 3.
  • Create engaging interactive training modules including presentations manuals hands-on exercises assessments and videos.
  • Develop a unified Quality Assurance scorecard to provide regular performance feedback to Coordinators.
  • Keep training content current by monitoring industry trends new technologies and best practices.

Training Delivery

  • Conduct in-person training sessions for new hires and current employees.
  • Manage CEU requirements for licensing across applicable states.
  • Use multiple training methods including classroom instruction e-learning and workshops to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Provide practical hands-on training in security operations and life safety signal handling.

Evaluation and Improvement

  • Collaborate with Recruiting and iSOC leadership to meet hiring and training objectives.
  • Measure training effectiveness through evaluations participant feedback and performance metrics.
  • Update and improve training materials and methods based on feedback and advancements in technology.
  • Identify skill gaps through Quality Assurance reviews and provide targeted follow-up training.
  • Review and update iSOC policies and procedures to ensure accuracy compliance and operational efficiency.

Support and Mentorship

  • Act as a technical resource and mentor for iSOC Coordinators and Senior Coordinators.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainees during and after training programs to reinforce development.
  • Promote a positive collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate training records including participant progress and assessment results.
  • Prepare and present reports to management outlining training outcomes improvement areas and future needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field supporting education training or professional development (preferred)
  • 35 years of training experience preferably in security operations or a related field
  • Proficiency with training tools software and the Manitou platform (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of iSOC operations alarm systems and life safety environments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with licensing regulations across multiple states including renewal and CEU requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Patience adaptability and a commitment to supporting learner success
