Job Description
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research
- Lead a dynamic research team and succeeding in applications for external research fundingwhether individually or as part of a team.
- Publish research papers in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals and other forms ofpublication within the research community.
- Establish collaborations with local/overseas research institutions.
- Participate in development opportunities to improve research and supervision skills.
Teaching
- Design plan and implement effective and inclusive teaching arrangements and learningactivities for undergraduate- and graduate-level courses face-to-face and/or through virtualdelivery.
- Develop design and continuously improve curriculum plans course outlines evaluationprocedures and instruments to foster student learning stimulate class discussions and ensurestudent engagement.
- Provide guidance and supervision to graduate and undergraduate students.
- Seek student feedback on teaching through questionnaires or other sources and respondconstructively to such feedback.
- Contribute to the Schools internal review and the external accreditation of subjects andprogrammes.
Service
- Participate in departmental meetings and in other committees and working groups as required.
- Undertake specific departmental roles and management functions as required.
- Provide academic support to other faculty members.
- Participate in the Schools outreach/admission-related events and activities to raise awarenessof the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree programmes.
- Contribute to the Universitys academic community through developing and organisingseminars/conferences.
- Contribute to the wider academic community through active participation in professionalscientific societies editorships international grant reviewerships etc.
