Purpose of the Role:
K2 is seeking to engage a Legal Counsel with relevant experience to support K2 its data centre business. This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Providing legal support and assessing legal risk in respect of a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters projects and regulatory compliance and corporate governance-related issues where relevant for K2s global business operations.
Drafting reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as customer colocation service agreements construction-related contracts joint venture agreements leases project financing documentation security agreements consultancy agreements and other general commercial and operational contracts with varying levels of complexity.
Engaging/liaising with external lawyers where required and managing associated legal expenditure.
Formulating developing and implementing process-oriented improvements and risk/knowledge management initiatives such as model contracts and clauses contracting principles/policies precedent databases checklists and other tools.
Overseeing the implementation of critical compliance policies procedures and training.
Job requirements
Preferably at least 4 to 10 years post-qualification experience within the technology data centre telecommunications real estate and construction industry(s) or sector(s) with construction real estate and/or corporate/M&A experience from a top-tier law firm or corporate in-house legal department.
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proactive and progressive in self-development.
