For our Production Centre Lund/Modena we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individualto join our Purchasing team as a Material Requirement Planning Engineer. This individualcontribution role is critical in driving operational excellence of purchasing optimizing MRPstrategies and setting material replenishment logic across multiple business streams. The idealcandidate will ensure timely material availability while minimizing inventory levels enhancingmaster data accuracy and continuously identifying improvement opportunities through valuestream mapping and WCM methodologies.
MRP Strategy & Execution
Lead the execution of purchasing projects ensuring alignment with business prioritiesand delivery targets
Design and implement advanced MRP strategies tailored to different product familiesand business streams
Define and maintain material planning parameters (e.g. safety stock reorder points lotsizing) to optimize inventory levels
Analyse supply and demand trends to proactively adjust replenishment strategies
Value Stream Mapping & Supply Chain Optimization
Conduct value stream mapping across the supply chain to identify inefficiencies delaysand improvement opportunities
Collaborate with suppliers logistics and internal stakeholders to streamline end-to-endmaterial flow and reduce lead times
Translate mapping insights into actionable process improvements and systemenhancements
Master Data Accuracy & System Integrity
Ensure master data accuracy across the full order-to-delivery cycle including materialmaster vendor data and planning parameters
Monitor and maintain data consistency in the ERP system to support reliable planningand execution
Act as a subject matter expert for material planning logic and MRP configuration in ERPsystems
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with production logistics and suppliers to ensure material availability andmitigate supply risks
Monitor and report on key KPIs such as IDA (Inboud Delivery Accuracy) inventoryturnover and stock obsolescence
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and planningprocesses
Support digitalization and automation efforts within the purchasing function
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering BusinessAdministration or related field
5 years of experience in purchasing execution MRP planning or supply chain operations
Native or advanced level in both English & Swedish
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) and MRPlogic
Proven ability to manage complex planning scenarios and large data sets
Experience with value stream mapping and process optimization
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS/CPIM or similar supply chain certification
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
