The APP will be expected to provide outstanding care to patients in the surgical andoutpatient settings. Clinical duties include seeing new return and post-operative patients in addition to preforming preoperative physical examinations. No call is expected with this role.
Position Responsibilities
The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is a 469000 square foot facility that is home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities include a full-service community imaging center laboratory services physical therapy retail pharmacy and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships. Educational Requirements:
ARNP: A Masters degree is required. A Masters degree or DNP in Nursing is preferred. If Masters degree is in a related field a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required. Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.
PA:Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA. A Masters degree is highly desired.
