Job Summary Sacred Hearts SchoolSchool Year 2025-2026Position: Librarian - Information Technology TeacherReports to: Susan Downer Assistant PrincipalDaily Schedule: Two Days per Week; Mondays and Wednesdays; 15 hours per week; 38 weeks per yearFollows School Holiday and Vacation Schedules FY25 School Year Commences Wednesday August 27 2025 Compensation: $28.00 /hour Benefit Eligible: No Sick Days: You will accrue 1 hours of sick time for every 30 hours workedPersonal Days: 1 per yearPosition Summary: Offer library/information technology curriculum to the pre-K to Grade 4 students at Sacred Hearts School a thriving Nursery to Grade 6 elementary school that is actively living a mission in Catholic education. Responsibilities: Foster information literacy for our PreK to Grade 4 students through the implementation of an inspiring curriculum Develop a passion for reading and reading literacy Evolve critical thinking skills demonstrating how to seek out and understand information Collaborate with other teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure student success Manage the school library Participate in/attend in-service days school events open houses and other events as a member of our school communityQualifications: Associates degree or higher preferably in an education or technology related disciplinePrior work with children preferably in a school settingPassion for literacy and seeking out information and knowledge
