Product Engineer
THE ROLE:
Our team works on characterizing new products in AMDs adaptive and embedded lines. The candidate will be responsible for creating programmable logic designs in AMDs ACAP and UltraScale new products to characterize full chip timing and compare to timing models. The designs will span various pin locations and multiple clock tree topologies. If discrepancies are found debugging with implementation tools test equipment datalogs and timing model engineers will be required to close the gap.
THE PERSON:
The candidate should have strong basics in electronic theory. Beyond that teamwork skills are essential to work with test engineers timing model developers and software programmers to align measurements to predictions. A strong analytic mind with a sense of leadership to guide cross functional team members to make the best decisions with imperfect data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a multitude of simple clock tree designs on every new product
- Run timing reports for every design
- Compare silicon measurements to the timing report predictions
- Adjust timing models as needed
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Verilog or other HDL
- Scripting and regular expressions
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering with one to three years of working experiences
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Knowledge of basic principles of logic and circuit design
- Software and hardware principles and method
