Position Summary: The Manager - Workday Business Analysts is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the team ensuring productivity quality and compliance with company policies. This role involves managing team performance providing support and training and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of three employees providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate employee performance providing feedback and conducting regular performance reviews.

  • Training and Development: Facilitate training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing team members.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure adherence to operational procedures and standards to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or operational processes.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on team performance metrics and operational challenges to management.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.

Skills & Tasks:

  • Team Oversight and Development:

    • Supervise and mentor Workday Business Analysts providing guidance on best practices.

    • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.

  • Workday Configuration and Maintenance:

    • Oversee the configuration of Workday modules to align with business needs.

    • Ensure the system is updated and optimized regularly.

    • Able to understand and implement Quality Assurance testing process and procedures

    • Perform User Acceptance Tests based on Technical documentations and coordinate results between developers and business

    • Collaborate with technical teams to build and maintain integrations with other systems (e.g. Finance IT Payroll and HRIS).

    • Test and troubleshoot change requests and assists on integration projects to ensure seamless data flow.

    • Support the transition to new systems or processes.

    • Create user guides and process documentation for future reference.

    • Create functional reference documents.

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

    • Lead efforts to gather and document business requirements for system enhancements.

    • Analyze requirements to ensure they are feasible and aligned with Workday capabilities.

    • Perform impact analysis to help identify risks early allowing for proactive measures to minimize negative consequences.

    • Facilitate discussions among stakeholders by presenting clear data and analysis.

    • Assist in creating business requirements document (BRD) for complex projects

  • Data Management and Reporting:

    • Supervise the development of reports and analytics using Workdays reporting tools.

    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in reporting outputs.

    • Determine the boundaries of the analysis based on areas of the project organization or stakeholders that will be affected.

    • Analyze data to identify trends and support decision-making.

  • Integration Oversight:

    • Coordinate with IT and external partners on system integrations.

    • Ensure that data flows between Workday and other systems are functioning correctly.

  • User Training and Support:

    • Facilitate training sessions for users on Workday functionalities.

    • Address and resolve user issues and inquiries related to the system.

  • Project Coordination:

    • Manage Workday projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements.

    • Propose proactive measures to minimize negative consequences.

    • Assessing the potential impact of new tasks and projects on the capacity of the teams resources.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

    • Ensure comprehensive documentation of configurations processes and workflows is maintained.

    • Monitor compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

    • Identify areas for process improvements within Workday usage.

    • Stay informed about new Workday features and best practices.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as a liaison between business units and the technical team to ensure alignment on priorities.

    • Facilitate meetings to discuss project status challenges and solutions.

    • Assists in allocating resources effectively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Human Resources Information Technology or a related field.

  • Years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably with Workday or similar HRIS/ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to navigate and manage changes within the Workday system and the organization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on collaboration.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of Workday

  • Experience in Workday components such as Core HCM Onboarding Absence Management Time Tracking Benefits Talent/Performance and Advanced Compensation.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage small projects independently

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and prioritize requests

  • Adapt well to change

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Proficiency in Workday and Other ticketing tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
