As Clinic Manager of our flagship Lower Hutt clinic youll bring together clinical leadership operational know-how and people-first management to create real impact for clients your team and the community.

You wont have to give up clinical work to step into leadership. Youll stay connected to practice while expanding your influence. This full-time role is thoughtfully structured to give you dedicated management time each week with flexibility built in around operational needs while continuing with clinical delivery and case management.

Your scope will be broad and rewarding. Youll take the lead on:

  • HR and recruitment for your clinic and service area
  • Organising team resourcing in line with forecasted demand
  • Maintaining clinical excellence across the team
  • Monitoring performance and supporting continuous development
  • Implementing service improvements and strategic initiatives
  • Overseeing and developing clinic budgets
  • Managing relationships with our local subcontractor network

Youll also have the opportunity to build strong connections with referrers funders and community partners ensuring your clinic is not just well-run but well-known.

You wont be doing it alone. Youll be backed by our Greater Wellington Regional Clinic Manager who brings deep knowledge of the landscape and provides genuine mentorship and strategic support. About the Lower Hutt Team
Our Lower Hutt clinic is based in the heart of the CBD - just a short stroll from Queensgate Shopping Centre and the Hutt Riverbank walkway perfect for a relaxing break between clients. The location offers excellent access to public transport and plenty of nearby parking options.

Youll be joining a vibrant multidisciplinary team that includes Physiotherapists a Hand Therapist a Psychologist and two fantastic Clinic Administrators. The team is known for its positivity social energy and genuine support for one another with daily morning quizzes weekly shared morning teas and fun monthly team events that keep the vibe warm and connected.

This team doesnt just work well together; they care about doing good. Theyve made meaningful progress in the equity space building strong relationships with Mori health providers and local iwi and continuing to grow their cultural capability across the board.



Skills And Experiences

About You
This role is ideal for an experienced clinician (minimum 4 years preferred) who is ready to step confidently into a leadership position or take their existing management experience to the next level. Youll bring a strong understanding of the financial operational and compliance aspects of private practice along with a genuine passion for supporting people and delivering quality care.

Youll understand the importance of clinical governance safe systems of work and meeting external contractual obligations including ACC contracts health and safety requirements privacy standards and service-level agreements. Youll also bring a commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi and to creating a clinic environment that upholds manaakitanga (respect and care) whanaungatanga (relationships and connection) and kotahitanga (unity of purpose).

Were looking for someone who can:

  • Communicate clearly openly and with manaakitanga
  • Make sound decisions and lead with confidence tikanga and fairness
  • Uplift and support a diverse team with empathy and accountability
  • Motivate others and lead by example (arataki)
  • Build strong respectful relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders across the hpori (community)
  • Champion continuous improvement and culturally responsive care

Youll also need to have:

  • A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and relevant professional body membership
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • A full clean New Zealand drivers licence
  • A recognised Bachelors degree (or higher) in your clinical field
  • A practical understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and a genuine commitment to equitable inclusive service delivery
