Job Description

M te tnga About the role:
The Chef de Partie will co-ordinate and prepare all menu items to the highest standards in accordance with the company standards and the directive of the Sous Chef/Head Chef. This position will supervise shift operations in the absence of the Sous Chef/Head Chef manage meal service periods and supervise and train junior chefs.
- Prepare and cook high quality dishes for various functions within the parliamentary precinct.
- Assist in menu planning and development focusing on local and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene food delivery and discipline in all kitchens in accordance with kitchen standards and codes of practice government legislation and Parliamentary Service policy.
- Ensures proper usage of any food leftovers or wastages consulting with the Sous Chef/Head Chef if required.
T kete What you will bring to the role:
- A passion for providing a high-quality service.
- A recognised chef qualification.
- Experience in a high-volume catering operation along with caf or restaurant experience including both a la carte and function catering would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and cuisines.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

The starting salary range for this role is $64485 - $70979 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
