Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Field Service Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring flawless operations of complex equipment and systems on-site. Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installations of complex equipment ensuring flawless execution by adhering to strict testing procedures.
  • Perform regular maintenance visits to ensure efficient performance of systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support to customers and other field service engineers.
  • Build positive relationships with customers system users and colleagues.
  • Support NanoPort to successfully resolve issues and assist other field service engineers.
  • Build and submit detailed field service reports.
  • Offer training to customers and users on system maintenance.
  • Provide feedback to the product quality team to determine improvements.
  • Update and revise internal system documentation.
  • Identify and address specific system issues.
  • Participate in overseas training programs (3-6 months) to improve your skills.

Preferred Background and Experience

  • Recent graduates and those with up to 3 years of professional experience are welcome.
  • Keen interest in troubleshooting and repair particularly with analytical and precision equipment.
  • Knowledge or interest in electron microscopes.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in Japanese and English; curiosity is valued over conversational proficiency.
  • Background in science or engineering (electrical electronic physics) from a technical college university or graduate school.
  • Knowledge of PC and network systems is a plus.
