Job Description
The Clinical Faculty maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursings Social Policy Statement. The Clinical Faculty actualizes the vision mission values balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The Clinical Faculty participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Clinical Faculty demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Provides Montefiore associates and its community with high quality learning activities guidance and instruction to facilitate learning and ongoing growth and development.
EDUCATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
New York State Registered Professional Nurse license required.
degree in nursing or the equivalent.
c. Three years of active nursing year of relevant teaching experience.
d. Three years of Critical Care Cardiac/Medical experience preferred.

Critical thinking skills necessary to implement the functions of the roles of the clinical faculty.
Selects appropriate instructional strategies for targeted audiences.
Develops educational programs appropriate to the needs of the associates of the Medical Center.
Delivers educational programs in collaboration with associates across the organization.
Defines innovative instructional approaches to education.
Exercises independent thinking in conjunction with a team approach to all aspects of job functioning.
Incorporates evidence- based research into educational program development.
Evening shift hours are 2:00 p.m. - 12:30 : one weekend shift/month
