Control Systems Technician
Bayer Facility - Chesterfield MO

What this Job involves
We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to join our team at Bayers Chesterfield Missouri facility. This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing automated control systems that support our manufacturing and research operations.

What the day-to-day will look like
Install maintain calibrate and troubleshoot industrial control systems including PLCs DCS SCADA systems and related instrumentation
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with control hardware software and communication networks
Perform preventative maintenance on control equipment to ensure optimal operation
Configure and program control systems to meet production requirements
Review and interpret technical drawings specifications and manuals
Document all maintenance activities modifications and system configurations
Support validation activities for control systems in compliance with industry regulations
Collaborate with engineering production and maintenance teams to improve system reliability

Required Qualifications
Experience working with industrial control systems
Understanding of PLC programming
Experience with SCADA systems HMI interfaces and industrial networks
Knowledge of instrumentation principles and calibration techniques
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Experience in pharmaceutical biotechnology or life sciences manufacturing preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Capable of working in various environments including manufacturing floors mechanical rooms and laboratory settings
May require climbing ladders working at heights and in confined spaces
Ability to wear required PPE as needed for specific work environments
