Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee the execution of concrete and underground construction for a cutting-edge data center in Memphis. This role involves leading teams managing contractors and ensuring all infrastructure meets the demands of a high-performance facility. Location: Memphis Tennessee (in-person with approximately 20% travel)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead train and supervise foremen and crews encouraging teamwork accountability and operational excellence.
- Manage and schedule contractors subcontractors and on-site crews ensuring adherence to scope of work and quality standards.
- Oversee concrete pouring forming and finishing as well as underground utility installation ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations safety protocols and quality standards.
- Promote and enforce the companys safety program fostering a strong safety culture among all personnel.
- Resolve on-site conflicts material delays and technical challenges related to concrete and underground systems.
- Monitor daily construction progress and maintain detailed logs drawings and plot plans of site activities.
- Prepare and present progress reports and construction metrics to senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing construction teams with a focus on concrete work and underground utilities.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in concrete pouring forming finishing and underground infrastructure (e.g. conduits piping foundations) for large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in construction management civil engineering or related discipline.
- Expertise in managing concrete and underground construction for data centers or other high-tech facilities.
- Familiarity with Memphis building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Procore AutoCAD MS Project).
- Strong understanding of construction critical path sequencing and workflows through project completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials specifications and methods-particularly for concrete and underground systems.
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders vendors and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated leadership under pressure and effective conflict resolution skills.
- Expert application of safety and environmental principles with a strong record of implementing safety programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word Teams Project etc.) for scheduling and reporting.
