JOB TITLE: Machinist - Drills/Lathes
LOCATION: Riviera Beach FL
PAY RATE: Up to $28/hour

Summary:
Set up and operate various machine tools including lathes milling machines grinders and drill presses
Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements
Select and use appropriate cutting tools fixtures and materials to achieve precise results
Perform machining operations such as turning milling drilling and grinding to produce parts and components
Inspect and test finished parts to ensure compliance with quality and precision standards
Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment as needed
Maintain a clean organized workspace adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Collaborate with engineers technicians and other machinists to meet production goals and resolve technical issues
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to noise dust and machining hazards
Emphasis on teamwork safety quality and productivity
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or certificate in machining or related field preferred
2 years of experience as a machinist or completion of a machinist apprenticeship program
Strong understanding of machining principles including geometry trigonometry and metallurgy
Proficiency with machine tools including CNC machines and familiarity with CAD/CAM software and programming (G-code M-code)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination manual dexterity and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Knowledge of quality control procedures inspection techniques and lean manufacturing principles
Certification as a journeyman machinist or equivalent preferred
Requires standing walking lifting and frequent use of hand tools and machinery
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
