JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structures Mechanic Heavy Mods
LOCATION: Wichita KS
PAY RATE: $57/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Interpret prints charts sketches work instructions verbal and electronic information.
-
Apply shop mathematics and use precision measuring/test instruments to complete assignments and perform functional tests.
-
Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or final products.
-
Verify work meets engineering/process specifications; identify and document discrepancies.
-
Ensure equipment and tool certification per procedures.
-
Perform routine preventative maintenance (e.g. replace filters/light bulbs maintain coolant/lubrication levels).
-
Move products within work area using assigned equipment and complete required production transactions.
-
Perform work within scheduled timeframes to meet production goals.
-
Support continuous product flow by assisting and training employees across levels.

Train others in assembly installation and inspection techniques.
-
Cross-train in inspection and obtain SIA qualification.
Requirements:
-
Setup and operate conventional and CNC fastening equipment (less than 3-axis).

Proficiency in one or more specialty areas:

Assembly/Installation of Structures

Sealing/Sub-assembly

Knowledge in at least one advanced specialty:
-
Assembly/Installation of Doors
-
Integral Fuel Cell Sealing
-
Precision Bench Assembly
-
Pressure and Vacuum Testing
-
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
