Job Description
Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time Senior Database Administrator.
What YOU will do-
Create and implement fully functional databases across Production Development and QA environments
-
Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams on data analysis design development and administration
-
Optimize databases for high performance and proactively identify and resolve server issues
-
Plan for capacity scalability and ensure database availability
-
Enforce security policies and best practices for database environments
-
Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies
-
Install maintain and upgrade SQL Server database software
-
Document administration procedures for databases and related hardware/software
-
Contribute to data architecture and evolving data strategy initiatives
-
Help advancing the company AWS and Power BI projects
-
Mentor team members assisting with SQL administration tasks
-
Analyze current systems and recommend technologies or processes for improvement
-
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent work experience
-
Extensive experience with SQL Server database administration in a production environment
-
Strong performance tuning and monitoring expertise
-
In-depth knowledge of SQL and database security principles
-
Experience with database design tools and modeling (ER and Dimensional)

Familiarity with Data Warehouse design and ETL tools/processes
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Microsoft SQL Server certification is encouraged
