Job description
Swans compliance team keep our banking features safe and secure and always have to think about the best way to combine multiple areas: business legal regulatory customer support and more. Swan is both a technology company and a financial services company and our Compliance team makes these pieces fit together!
As an Electronic Money Institution Swan faces many legal and regulatory challenges when conducting its business and operations : Fighting money laundering protecting clients funds working with legitimate partners etc.
Your mission
As a Compliance Intern at Swan youll play a key role in protecting our banking license by ensuring regulatory compliance across our operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough partner reviews evaluating internal processes and maintaining high compliance standards. This position offers valuable exposure to both banking technology and regulations providing an excellent opportunity to develop your career in the dynamic fintech industry.
Main tasks
- Regulatory Monitoring:
- Participate in first- and second-level compliance controls to ensure adherence to laws regulations professional standards and internal audits.
- Conduct regulatory and compliance monitoring including AML KYC and Sanctions Screening mandatory checks to ensure Swan as a payment institution remains compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Partnership Management and Financial Crime Risk Assessment:
- Act as a key contact for our French partners managing registration of ORIAS mandates.
- Execute initial compliance checks to evaluate the legal financial crime risk and regulatory aspects of our partners business models.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining our internal documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Plan and coordinate reporting processes thereby ensuring that compliance is effectively reported tracked and managed within the organization.
- Collaboration & Project Involvement:
- Actively participate and contribute to projects driven by the Compliance Team fostering a collaborative working environment within Swan.

Preferred experience
Youre a great match if:
- You are looking for a 6-month internship starting from September.
- Youre currently pursuing a degree in Law Finance Business or a related field with a strong interest in Compliance Regulatory Affairs or Risk Management.
- You have some basic knowledge of French and European financial regulations. Experience with banking and payment systems is a plus.
- You are a creative problem-solver and self-starter who can work independently.
- Youre a quick learner whos eager to understand the broader context beyond your immediate tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements in an evolving and fast-paced environment.
- Youre fluent in English and proficiency in French is a plus.
