Job Description
- Lead mechanical and plumbing system designs including HVAC hydronic systems and domestic/sanitary piping.
- Oversee junior engineers and drafters; review and approve design documentation.
- Conduct field investigations HVAC load studies energy modeling and code reviews.
- Coordinate with permitting agencies and ensure compliance with local state and federal codes.
- Manage project scope schedule budget and internal/external communications.
- Contribute to client presentations marketing efforts and proposal development.
- Provide leadership and performance management to cross-functional project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 12 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- HVAC and plumbing systems expertise.
- Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with IESVE and/or Carrier HAP.
- Strong knowledge of building energy and mechanical/plumbing codes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- CAPM PMP CxA or BCxP certifications.
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build Design-Build or P3 delivery methods.
- Background in industrial systems and/or fire protection design.
- Client-facing and business development experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
