About the role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to support the testing and validation of point-of-sale (POS) applications used across multiple sales channels in the retail industry. This role is critical in ensuring the stability accuracy and quality of POS systems including traditional checkouts self-checkouts and eCommerce order processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes generate structured test scenarios execute test cases in a lab environment and ensure timely defect resolution.

Location and Work Setup:

The position is based in the Bucharest Office (Plaza) near Lujerului metro station with a flexible hybrid way of working.

Responsibilities:

• Review and understand business flows and requirements based on Solution Concept Documents
• Design and document structured test scenarios covering key POS flows:
• Master data integration
• Traditional / Self-checkout / Self-checkout Express sales processes
• eCommerce order processing
• Loyalty and promotions triggering
• Transaction log validation
• Load manage and execute test scenarios using Zephyr
• Perform manual testing in a controlled lab environment
• Log and escalate defects to the L3 POS team via Jira and track their resolution
• Retest fixes and ensure issue closure in alignment with the development team
• Participate in the final test phase sign-off alongside the clients QA team

What are we looking for:

• Proven experience in QA testing preferably in retail or POS environments
• Working knowledge of Linux (SUSE preferred)
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Zephyr
• Strong understanding of QA processes test documentation and defect management
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration
• Advanced level of English

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience or user knowledge of QF-Test
• Familiarity with automated test tools and scripting is a plus
• Experience with loyalty programs promotional triggers and transaction audits in POS systems
