We are looking for an experienced Aviation Medicine Specialist to oversee the health safety and performance of aviation personnel. The role requires expertise in aerospace or occupational medicine with a focus on managing the physical and psychological demands of flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and periodic medical examinations for pilots aircrew and other aviation personnel to assess physical and mental fitness.
- Diagnose treat and manage medical conditions that may affect flight safety and performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of altitude G-forces fatigue and environmental stressors on aircrew health.
- Provide medical consultation on issues related to aviation safety such as hypoxia decompression sickness and spatial disorientation.
- Develop implement and update aeromedical standards and health protocols in compliance with national and international aviation regulations (e.g. FAA EASA DGCA ICAO).
- Collaborate with aviation authorities flight operations and occupational health departments to ensure compliance with aviation medical standards.
- Respond to in-flight or on-ground medical emergencies and offer emergency support and evacuation protocols.
- Provide training to aircrew on health risks first aid fatigue management and emergency medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate holds a medical degree with specialization in Aerospace or Aviation Medicine possesses a valid medical license and has experience in aviation or aerospace settings. Strong knowledge of aeromedical standards excellent decision-making skills and familiarity with regulatory bodies and specialized equipment are essential. A background in emergency or critical care is a plus
