The Junior HR Administrator will provide administrative support to the HR department ensuring that employee records recruitment processes and compliance requirements are maintained to a high standard. This is an entry-level role ideal for a school leaver or someone seeking to start a career in Human Resources. The successful candidate will receive training and development opportunities to gain knowledge of HR best practice employment law and organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the HR team and HR Manager.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
Assist with the recruitment process including advertising vacancies scheduling interviews and preparing offer letters.
Support the onboarding process for new starters including reference checks contracts and induction paperwork.
Assist in monitoring staff absences holidays and sickness records in line with company procedures and ACAS guidance.
Prepare HR letters documents and reports as required.
Respond to routine employee queries in a professional and timely manner escalating where appropriate.
Support the coordination of training and development activities.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation safeguarding requirements and health and safety regulations.
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.
Person Specification
Essential
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in GoogleWorkspace (Sheets / Docs).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Positive attitude willingness to learn and a strong interest in Human Resources.
Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required.
Desirable
Previous administrative experience (work placement part-time role or school/college project work).
Knowledge of HR processes or employment law (training will be provided).
Experience of using HR or data management systems (training will be provided).
Training and Development
The successful candidate will receive:
