We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer with deep expertise in networking security and Microsoft 365 platforms. This role will be responsible for designing implementing and supporting network and collaboration solutions across multiple communities. Ideal candidates will have experience working in the Senior Living or healthcare sector and be comfortable balancing hands-on engineering with project leadership.
This position is ahybrid of in-person and remote work (one day a week remote) in Midvale Utah. We areonlyreviewing applications from candidates who currently reside in Utah; applications from outside Utah will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design deploy and maintain Ubiquiti UniFi network infrastructure across multiple communities ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure monitor and optimize Fortinet firewalls for security VPN and multi-site connectivity.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 including Teams SharePoint and Exchange Online to streamline communication and collaboration.
- Plan and execute IT projects from community network upgrades to Microsoft 365 migrations ensuring deadlines budgets and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with operational leaders to understand workflows and translate needs into secure scalable technology solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other data security regulations.
- Document system configurations network diagrams and operational procedures.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
Qualifications:
- 3 years in a senior IT engineering role preferably in Senior Living healthcare or multi-site environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking (switches APs controllers VLANs guest networks).
- Strong Fortinet firewall experience (FortiGate configuration SD-WAN VPNs security policies).
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration (Teams SharePoint OneDrive Exchange Online security & compliance center).
- Experience managing IT projects from planning to delivery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities including documentation and end-user training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed IT team.
Preferred:
- Experience in Senior Living technology ecosystems (nurse call EHRs Wi-Fi for residents/guests video surveillance).
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare IT best practices.
- Microsoft Fortinet or Ubiquiti certifications.
