The Fi Company - Seattle is a plastics fabrication company with diverse and integrated capabilities including: thermoforming (vacuum and pressure) reaction injection molding plastic fabrication assembly and the application of high performance coatings. As a complement to our diverse focus we strive for excellence in all areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate spray eqipment to coat with primers and other industrial coatings including powder coating.
Clean and prepare parts for coating process including masking and sandblasting.
Apply industrial coating including powder coating.
Working in a spray booth environment operating paint and powder coat equipment.
Measure the thickness of applied coating materials.
Clean and maintain tools equipment and work areas.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
1-2 years experience in a production manual powder coating environment. Comparable experience such as auto body painting will be considered.
Ability to interpret and understand customer drawings and specifications.
Experience working within the plastics industry in a plant setting is preferred.
Experience coating with Teflon Nylon Halar and Polyethelyne is a plus.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Ability to read write and communicate in English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to read part drawings is a plus.
Candidates must be able to lift push pull and carry 50lbs.
May have to squat or bend frequently and stand for extended periods.
