What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizers dynamic engineering team you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time. You will integrate manufacturing process operational knowledge equipment control and data into systems which enforces the sequence of operations across departments.
As an Automation Network and Systems Analyst your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the larger Automation team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams. This position covers responsibilities for the Infrastructure (Network/Server/Domain/etc.) Cybersecurity and Systems (Core Application/Site Data Historian/etc.) teams and the successful candidate may support one or multiple teams.

How You Will Achieve It
- Provide 24x7x365 support of the infrastructure and core applications that support our automation and manufacturing systems
- Improving the infrastructure architecture for the automation organization by implementing continuous improvement practices digital plant of the future initiatives
- Improving site Automation cybersecurity posture to protect Pfizers critical manufacturing capabilities
- Improving footprint of core applications and systems throughout the site including driving the rollout of the PI data historian system
- Assisting Infrastructure lead with strategy methodologies and documentation of processes and procedures to align with industry best practices
- Communicating and collaborating with operations and automation colleagues for maintenance activities on critical server and networking hardware
- Configuring network switches firewalls wireless controllers and other network hardware
- Deploying physical servers and virtual server hosting environments
- Leading active directory domain configuration updates; including group policy DNS and OU configuration as well as user and group creation
- Creating/updating Technical Documents/Functional Specs and routing them through change control
- Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers and management
- Assist in training and mentoring site Automation Technicians Analysts and Engineers
- Monitor and trend issues to identify and develop preventative solutions
- Demonstrate good planning organizing time management and team participation skills
- Adhere to safe work practices
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and must have 6 years of relevant experience; OR an Associates degree with 4 years of experience; OR a Bachelors degree with 0 years of experience
- Experience with writing software test plans user requirements and system design documents
- Familiar with network routing and switching
- Strong understanding of Fiber Optic connections/pathing/splicing
- Ability to terminate structured ethernet cabling
- Understanding of server virtualization and hosting and Kubernetes/containerization
- Familiar with process controls equipment
- Strong knowledge of Computerized Systems Compliance regulations and standards
- Teamwork spirit good communication skills and training abilities
- Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills written and oral
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change
Nice-to-Have
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Background in cGMP regulations
- Understanding of enterprise networking concepts
- Experience with next-gen firewalls and network security concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Domains
- OSI/Aveva PI Data Historian experience
- Understanding of software/document repositories/versioning

Weekend and off hours work required some overtime. Supporting 24/7 operation on call coverage. Adhere to safe work practices.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $to $. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 75% of the base salary.
